| Red Flame Grapefruit with Vanilla Cream Sauce
Serves 4 | |
| Ingredients: | ![]() |
| 3- red flame grapefruit, sectioned | |
| 1- vanilla bean | |
| ¼ cup- sugar | |
| 1 oz- dark rum | |
| 2 cups- heavy cream | |
| powdered sugar to garnish | |
| Directions | |
| 1. Arrange Grapefruit sections in bowl evenly and set aside | |
| 2. To prepare sauce, split and scrape vanilla bean and combine with sugar and heavy cream in a saucepan. Add dark rum | |
| 3. Bring to a boil, lower heat to medium and reduce for 6 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the back of spoon. | |
| 4. Pour sauce over chilled grapefruit sections while sauce is still warm. Garnish with powdered sugar and serve immediately. | |
